Big time boxing returned to Sydney on Wednesday December 16 with an epic event, Sydney Superfight, promoted by No Limit Boxing, with all aspects of the event delivered by TSE.
Despite facing multiple challenges caused by COVID, No Limit and TSE sold 11,800 tickets and delivered a nine fight outdoor stadium show unlike anything seen in Sydney since Jeff Fenech and Kostya Tszyu graced the ring decades before. The event was also very successful for Foxtel with strong Main Event sales to homes and into venues across Australia.
Headlined by Tim Tszyu v Bowen Morgan & Paul Gallen fighting former UFC star, Marc Hunt, the event was a breakthrough moment for No Limit Boxing who have now clearly taken the mantle as Australia’s No1 boxing promoter. No Limit delivered two stadium shows in 2020, with Tim Tszyu v Jeff Horn, co-presents, staged at Townsville Stadium in August 2020.
TSE was responsible for all commercial, marketing, live event, DNSW & sponsorship servicing. The TSE partnership with No Limit Boxing had evolved since its inception in 2019 when the business agreed to support No Limit’s plan to return boxing to a mainstream Australian sport.
Led by Tim Tszyu, No Limit was determined to transform boxing in Australia with a commitment to providing a World class live event experience and broadcast events. TSE had all the specialist skills required to work collaboratively with No Limit to drive these outcomes.
TSE CEO, Paul Kind said, “Matt & George Rose had an ambitious plan, a preparedness to invest and a passion to transform boxing in Australia. I immediately saw the opportunity was aligned on the need to attack the challenge with everything we had. It’s been a great working partnership and we are proud that the Sydney Superfight has now laid a foundation for a massive 2021 for No Limit Boxing’
