TSE was proud of break through one of the last frontiers in Australian sport – the introduction of a Christmas Day game.

AN AUSTRALIAN FIRST

The Sydney Kings ownership group elected to take the bold step and become Australia’s first professional team to play a game on Christmas Day.

TSE’s in-house production team produced a video campaign, 12 Days of Christmas, to roll out across Kings and NBL social media channels in the lead up to the historic event.

The event was hailed a success. In front of a crowd of more than 7,000 passionate fans at Qudos Bank Arena, the Kings defeated arch rivals Melbourne United 101-80. The contest delivered a viewership reach of more than 300,000 across all platforms on ESPN, Channel 10, and Kayo, making it the most viewed game on ESPN in the 22-23 NBL season.

“We hope the success of the inaugural Sydney Kings Christmas game inspires future innovation in Australian sport, and we hope that the contest becomes a Christmas staple in Sydney”, said TSE Founder and Hoops Capital Chairman, Paul Smith.
