The NSW Government, Minister for Sport Alister Henskens, NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet, and Cumberland Council have today announced a combined $20 million in funding for a new Basketball Centre of Excellence and home to the Sydney Kings and Sydney Flames.
TSE (owners of Hoops Capital) are proud to have played a significant role in advocating and lobbying for the new basketball facility, which will provide much needed infrastructure for the Kings, Flames, Hoops Capital Academy and community groups.
The facility will include two state-of-the-art courts, high-performance sports science and medical facilities, a new gym, skills area and training room, recovery spaces, and enhanced media and administration facilities.
Hoops Capital Chairman Paul Smith said:
“This is a game-changer for basketball. The facility will not only be home to the Kings and Flames, but also provide Hoops Capital with a dedicated space to grow our Academy, which is providing participation, development and pathway programs for young hoopers across NSW.”
