TSE has produced an unfiltured behind-the-scenes documentary series on the Sydney King’s 2021-2022 NBL season.
The concept for the series was pitched to raise the profile of the Kings’ 2021-2022 squad.
All episodes of the series available to watch here
Led by TSE videographers, Sam Tolhurst and Joel Cama, the project immerses viewers into the team’s environment, offering an insight that has never been offered by an NBL team before. Featured in the series is the King’s new coach, Chase Buford, and a number of new players, including point guard Jaylen Adams, NBL Next Star Matur Maker, and former Golden State Warriors guard Ian Clark. The series also features young Aussie stars, Xavier Cooks and Dejan Vasiljevic, whose growth into team leaders is traceable throughout the series.
Hoops Capital Chairman and TSE Founder, Paul Smith, expressed his pride in the series:
“We trusted our team to deliver a warts-and-all documentary series. We gave them creative autonomy and told them we didn’t want to hide from the difficult moments that the team would inevitably face during the year.
“There’s a moment in the locker room in Brisbane in Episode 2 when we have just been badly beaten, on the back of four or five losses… it’s raw but powerful filmmaking. I’m proud that we have taken the risk and seen this concept attract interest, with Kayo picking up the episodes for their Freebies platform.
“From a TSE perspective it has showcased the capability of our videography and motion graphics team and we are excited to produce more short and long-form content for clients in the future.”
